MARKETING MANAGER (ESPORTS)

100 Thieves is looking for a gaming-obsessed, detail-oriented, creative marketer to lead our Esports Marketing. The Esports Marketing Lead will be responsible for managing, activating, and executing marketing campaigns, esports partnerships, influencers and gaming events around our esports teams including but not limited to; League of Legends, Fortnite, Valorant, Call of Duty, and Warzone. This person will develop strategies based on the needs of the audience and then create a cross-functional team to bring those strategies to life.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute marketing and experiential for 100 Thieves esports, including but not limited to our League of Legends, Fortnite, Valorant, and Call of Duty/Warzone
  • Manage the end-to-end esports and gaming influencer plans including strategy and execution
  • Staying up to date of the game industry from publishers, creators, esports to events to be able to provide guidance for the gaming team regarding influencer personalities, esports teams, key partnerships and emerging trends
  • Develop holistic marketing plans to support our existing and future esports teams including social, content, events, PR, and player support
  • Ideate and lead activations for 100 Thieves for all esports events (in-person or digital)
  • Assist in ideation on innovative ways to activate around key beats for our brand
  • Work closely with our internal creative & esports teams to produce video or design assets needed for all esports marketing
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with stakeholders to ensure activations are executed successfully

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years in brand marketing, product marketing, or experiential marketing
  • Minimum 2+ years of professional esports partnership/Industry experience, required
  • Experience integrating partnerships (esports or otherwise), talent (influencers), & social media marketing into broader marketing plans/campaigns/events to drive higher reach and engagement
  • Hands-on experience developing and executing social media plans that included key content and event components
  • In-depth knowledge of the current seasons and progress of 100T esports teams and categories.
  • Fluency with all major social media and live streaming platforms including, but not limited to; Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitch
  • Strong copywriting skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and visual aesthetics
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, quick turn-around environment
  • Ability to self-manage and problem solve
