The Loaded and Open World sales team is in pursuit of a thoughtful and ambitious Director of Game Developer Sales. The ideal candidate is collaborative, strategic, creative, resilient, coachable, and loves the art of selling. They should be well versed in all things gaming and intimately familiar with the game developer and publisher marketing ecosystems, have the ability to convert their existing book of business into revenue driving relationships, and be excited to build a network of new partners.

Reporting to the VP of Game Developer Partnerships, the Director of Game Developer Sales will be responsible for growing the company’s commercial book of business through relationships with game developers and the agencies that help bring them to market.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and solicit business from inside and outside Loaded and Open World’s existing partner networks of game developers and publishers
  • Communicate with potential clients, identify their needs/KPIs, and design a strategy to create partnerships that will satisfy them
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental, internal stakeholders and lead ideation, development, and presentation of forward-thinking sponsorship solutions to brands, generating business for our client roster
  • Work to proactively maintain and grow our existing relationships to drive additional contracted sales, extensions, and renewals
  • Contribute to the overarching sales strategy by proactively identifying opportunities and sharing them with the team
  • Mentor junior team members, consult with peers, and advise leadership as we work to continually improve upon our sales efforts
  • Represent our companies at the relevant industry events, evangelizing our product and service offerings and growing our network and reach

Job Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of the Game Developer/Publisher industry and experience working with or at Game Developer/Publisher(s)
  • 8+ years of influencer marketing, brand advertising, branded content and sponsorship sales
  • A rolodex and network of strong relevant partners that can grow into significant and revenue impacting business relationships
  • A strong command of the sales process and a proven ability to close deals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking, project, and time management skills
  • A demonstrated track record of building and scaling a book of business
  • A consultative, strategic and solutions-oriented approach to sales
  • A strategic, creative, resilient, innovative, collaborative, coachable disposition and a love for the art of selling
  • Experience working across internal and external parties to sell and execute integrated content campaigns
